A sonnet? I'm on it.

Apparently Garrison Keillor is sponsoring a sonnet contest. I just found out about it today. As my Aunt Jackie says, this has my name written all over it.

What's annoying about this is that it's unclear whether "midnight Friday" means late Friday night or early Friday morning. If I had more time I would nominate a few options and let you vote for the one I should submit. But to make sure I qualify, I have to submit something tonight. So this is what I'm sending in:
