penfieldApparently, former Washington Indigenous Peoples cheerleader Christy Oglevee became a former cheerleader when she decided to start dating Washington Indigenous Peoples player Chris Cooley.
(Unfortunately, as Deadspin points out, this Washington Post story is a bit heavy on the romance and a bit light on the journalism, leaving a mysterious gap between the time period during which Cooley was dating Oglevee's friend and the beginning of his relationship with Oglevee. The writer did, however, follow up on the extended families' recreational activities -- with sexy results.)
Anyway, I find it -- what's the word? amusing? disturbing? enlightening? -- that Oglevee was fired for privately hanging out with one of the players whom she publicly urged to "take it all the way and score." But she was not fired for posing in pictures like this one, which is an affront to football jerseys everywhere. (Picture not safe for work, unless you work at Hooters.)
