Sorry, Baby Doll, but I hate everything about the White Sox. I hate their stadium, I hate their uniforms, I hate their manager, I HATE their catcher, I hate their television announcers, I hate that they beat the Astros last year, I hate all of their sissy little goatees. I hope they all get syphillis.

At least the Cubs are higher on the list. They'll shoot up farther if (when) they fire Dusty Baker.

You hate teams based on stadiums, and yet your favorite team plays in the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum (Network Associates Coliseum) (McAfee Coliseum)? Your fifth favorite team plays in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, so let's not place too high of an emphasis on stadiums.

(My other complaint is that 13 teams place higher in your heart than the hometown Washington Nationals, including 9 National League teams and 2 of the Nats' NL East rivals.)

The Oakland Coleseum is ugly (especially with Mount Davis), and the seats appear to be too far away from the crowd, and they share it with the Raiders, who turn the turf into coleslaw every fall. So there's a lot to hate about it. But it is a pitchers' park, and tickets are cheap. I like the A's enough to overcome this flaw, whereas U.S. Cellular Field is just one more thing to loathe about the white sox.

And I take no pleasure in slotting the Nationals so far down on my list of rooting interests. But the fact is, this is a very hard team to like. The team is constructed poorly, with too many indiscriminate hackers and utility infielders. None of their players are particularly charismatic. Many of them are downright surly. And the team is run by Bud Selig and Major League Baseball, which pretty much limits any chance of actually investing in or improving the team over the course of the season.

But this doesn't mean that I wouldn't eagerly accept tickets to a game sometime.
