What's that sterotype?

I'd pick up a half dollar coin, but not two quarters. Same for a silver dollar. Half dollar and dollar coins just has that novlety factor. Maybe it's becuase I would get them under my pillow from the "tooth fairy." To this day, when I get one of those larger coins, I won't spend it. I probably have enough fifty-cent pieces saved up to put a down payment on a Hyundai at this point.

I voted penny because you never know if it is an old or rare penny that might have more value.

So you'd pick up the penny but then throw it down again if it was deemed not rare enough?

I'd probably keep it, now that I've taken the trouble to pick it up. All money is dirty anyway.

Value

Through ten votes, the average value is 20.2 cents. The median value is 25.

I can't imagine anyone passing up a quarter (I voted dime). Does that make me ESPECIALLY cheap?

"Dime" surprises me not because it's so cheap, but because it's so small and thin. Picking it up, especially off of a cruddy floor, must be difficult to do without contracting some sort of fungus.
